Amazing!

I thought my students would love to see this TV that has been placed above the Gas station pump. This allowed me to watch the current news and weather as I filled up my car with gas.

I also noticed monitors as I walked the mall and grocery stores where advertisements are being played over and over. Is this something we really want…to be constantly bombarded with news and advertisements???? Is this what we really want to use technology for????

I personally like to have a peace of mind when I am shopping. It is hard enough to make decisions without the constant noise of commercials being played in the background.

What about having time to think, absorb, and just enjoy the quiet of the moment???

Monitors in stores???? Is this a good thing or not??? What do you think students?

after reading what you posted, I asked myself, why do they put tv's where you pump you're gas? my answer was for entertainment. You could just imagine yourself standing out in the cold weather with nothing to do. Then it came to me,you can watch tv.

I think its cool that we can watch t.v. while we are putting gas in our cars! I think it was boring when they didn't have the t.v's.

I think it's cool that you can waych T.V. while your shopping and putting gas. But it would be better if it wasn't always the same thing over and over again.

I think that is really cool that we can watch T.V. while pumping gas! I don't really pay attention to the tv when my mom or dad is pumping gas, but when where in the store in line I watch the tv because its really boring just standing in line sitting there. So thats why I think its cool to have the tv's!

one thing I don't like about the tv's is that there distracting because there watching tv and breaking news comes on and its really interesting and you look down at the pump and you have to pay $15.00 or more. It's understandable for the stores, but the gas station.... not so much.

I am really happy that there is finally not annoucements over and over and there is finally news and weather! Its good that if they are raising the gas prices they atleast have something good for you to watch! =]

I agree with jesse. Why waste all our energy and waste our time when we could be inventing something AMAZING? I do enjoy having it but, some people can get distracted and go over what they were going to spend ond might even overfill their tank!

After I read what is posted, it's a good question that Jesse asked. Why do they put Televisions on gas pumps? It could be bad because if the roof of the gas station broke, water would go threw and burn the T.V and set the gases off and it could cause a 2.7 miles explosion. That's why it's bad about the T.Vs in the gas stations.
